The use of the internet is now second nature in most schools and homework around the UK. Online resources, games and learning environments can enhance the learning experience greatly and expose students to subject matter they wouldn't experience in a regular classroom.
It's important however, for students to use the internet safely and appropriately, as it is for all stakeholders. As such, each school should have an online safety policy which outlines appropriate and safe use of the internet in their school.
This online safety policy checklist should be used when schools are either creating or accessing their current online safety policy.
