Host: Rosie is a freelance writer, language teacher and psychotherapist based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. She has over six years’ experience of teaching English and Italian, and has written features on language, mental health and sustainable travel for the Guardian, Wanderlust, Dalesman and Therapy Today. Her memoir Suddenly, While Living - a book that focuses on health and recovery - will be published by Valley Press in January.

This webinar is all about how to enjoy language learning, and how and where to apply it outside the classroom. Rosie will talk you through some simple and practical steps for improving your language skills, and we will focus on some common language ‘traps’ that students often fall into (as well as how to avoid them)!

You will need a laptop or device with internet connection to watch the class, as well as a pen and notepad for taking notes.

What to expect

  • This class will take place online via a Zoom webinar call
  • This will be a live class
  • You will be able to see the tutor hosting this class, but by default your camera and microphone will not be enabled
  • After signing up, instructions to access the class will be emailed to the address provided during registration
  • After the class, we will send you a feedback form to help us improve
  • You'll now be taken to a Stripe payment page. After payment, you can fill in the name and contact details of the attendee of Satchel Classes
